About Epicureans Answer
Some background….
I love London and its myriad boutique bakers and delectable delis and I love farmers markets with their overpriced unwashed veg and ubiquitous venison burgers, if only I lived in that world.
My world is one of supermarkets and restaurants where they don’t brush the crumbs off the table between courses, and I believe that the vast majority of people also live in this world.
I’m not a jaded London-centric journalist who can afford to pay £5 for a loaf of sourdough. I’m interested in genuine, quirky and realistic food coverage, especially when it’s the food the majority of Brits can pick up in their local Co-op, Tesco or Sainsburys.
This site is about celebrating food in all its forms, from fine dining to fast food. It comes from a love and belief that food is more than just a fuel, it’s a part of our lives. Our choice of what we eat and drink defines us as much as the songs on our iPod, or the haircuts in our school photos.

You know, when I’m done ranting about elite power that rules the planet under a totalitarian government that uses the media in order to keep people stupid, my throat gets parched. That’s why I drink orange drink. Bill Hicks, Rant in E Minor
